Born and raised in Hong Kong, Kavieng Cheng is a Hong Kong–based art director and creative. She holds a Master of Arts in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London, where five years immersed in the city’s creative scene sharpened her eye for design and strengthened her ability to craft compelling visual narratives.
Her work has been recognised across disciplines, earning accolades including the Red Dot Design Concept “Best of the Best”, the Creative Communication Award, the Fine Art Photography Awards, and honours at MAD Stars’ Youth Star competition.
Kavieng is currently at Edelman Hong Kong, where she brings her passion for storytelling to clients including Pizza Hut, KFC and Sunkist. She believes advertising is a powerful medium for free expression—one that connects people, elevates everyday experiences, and inspires a broader appreciation of beauty and art.
She began her advertising career at Cheil Hong Kong, working across clients including Swire, MTR, Save the Children and Orbis. In just two years, she helped the team earn international recognition at Cannes Lions, D&AD, LIA, the New York Advertising Awards and more.
Kavieng has represented Cheil at the Young Kam Fan Awards, represented Edelman at the PRHK Young Lions Awards, and represented Hong Kong internationally at MAD Stars’ New Stars in Busan (2024) and Cannes Young Lions (2026). She also helped bring home Hong Kong’s first-ever Cannes Young Lions win. She has been listed by Campaign Brief Asia among Hong Kong’s Most Awarded Creatives, ranking #3 in 2024 and #5 in 2025.
